Scotland’s water industry is the most trusted sector among consumers, according to a report from Which?
The water sector is given a 68% trust rating, putting it ahead of the food/grocery sector and technology appliances on 62%.
The findings were published in a recent consumer insight report from Which? based on an online survey of adults living in Scotland.
Peter Farrer, Scottish Water’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “Scottish Water serves 2.49 million households the length and breadth of Scotland, so it is greatly encouraging to see that the Scottish water industry performs strongly in this report.
“This builds on the achievement of some of our best ever customer service results in the past year. Our customers are benefitting from average household charges which are below the average in England and Wales while compliance with strict drinking water quality standards is at record levels.
“We are proud to be one of the UK’s top performing water companies, but are determined to raise the bar even further.”
