Watertrain is proud to have strengthened RSK Group’s expertise in the water sector by becoming the latest company to join the group’s extensive portfolio.

Watertrain, based in Warrington, Cheshire, has been the leading provider of apprenticeships and other qualifications to the water utility sector since 2007 and was acquired by RSK Group on 4 May 2022.

Commenting on the acquisition, Keri Davies, Managing Director at Watertrain, said: “The success of Watertrain and its reputation in the sector would not have been possible without the commitment and support of our staff. We pride ourselves on the service we provide our customers and have worked very hard to provide quality training that has a real tangible impact. We are also grateful to all our clients for their support and for the excellent working relationships we share.

“This acquisition is an exciting new chapter for Watertrain and all our staff. Business will continue as normal under the Watertrain brand. Being part of the wider RSK Group will enable us to grow our portfolio and strengthen our proposition for clients”.

“Personally, I am very excited about the growth and development opportunities that will now be available to us and I am looking forward to building strong partnerships within the RSK group to benefit our business and our clients”.

RSK Chief Executive Officer and Founder Alan Ryder added: “The water sector is of huge importance to RSK and its strategy, so I couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Watertrain into the group. I know the company will be a great addition as we continue to strengthen our position in this sector, and with the support of Binnies, Water Research Centre (WRc) and MWH Treatment, we are looking forward to widening the training provision that Watertrain can provide.”
