Watertrain, the UK’s leading provider of water industry training, apprenticeships and qualifications, has announced the launch of two mandatory, EUSR-accredited courses to its growing portfolio of industry-recognised programmes.
SHEA Water and EUSR Water Hygiene are now available for delivery with Watertrain. The launch of these two courses further reinforce Watertrain’s commitment to delivering high-quality, relevant training solutions that build highly-skilled professionals and uphold water industry standards.
EUSR Water Hygiene
The EUSR Water Hygiene course has been launched by Watertrain to support those working on the clean water network – commonly known as ‘Restricted Operations’.
All individuals entering these sites are required to hold a National Water Hygiene EUSR registration and this extends beyond water company employees. Those working on ‘Restricted Operations’ on behalf of a water company, subcontractor or other organisation, such as Self-Lay Organisation (SLOs), are also required to hold a registration.
Watertrain’s new course is essential for National Water Hygiene EUSR registration and upon completion of training and assessment, learners will understand the vital part they play in maintaining clean and safe drinking water and protecting public health.
SHEA Water
The SHEA (Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness) Water course is designed for anyone entering operational sites or working on the water network. This comprehensive programme is tailored to the unique challenges and safety considerations of the water industry and is aligned with the standards set by EUSR.
A SHEA EUSR registration gives confidence there is the required knowledge and understanding to work safely in these environments. Watertrain’s new course embeds best practice in health and safety and environmental awareness, whilst supporting the HSE’s essential principles for good health and safety performance.
Building a Skilled & Safe Workforce
“These two EUSR courses are critical to ensuring that professionals across the water industry are both safe and compliant,” said Keri Davies, Managing Director at Watertrain. “We’re pleased to expand our training portfolio to include these nationally recognised schemes, which will help to raise the standard of operational safety and hygiene across the sector.”
Watertrain continues to lead in the delivery of flexible training solutions for the water industry, supporting the development of a highly skilled, future-ready workforce.
